I was distracted with it. Couldnβt focus. It was a tough decision because I learned so much on X, yet it didnβt help me prioritize my time the way I wanted. Since leaving Iβve seen the increase in my focus levels and feel an improvement in accomplishing my life/work.
I really respect this. I only (re)booted an old Twitter / X account because I started writing but I refuse to use any others at this point, mostly because I do not have the bandwidth to monitor and manage multiple social platforms.
I personally believe that I can reach the goals that I have for my writing without having to be on all of them but perhaps that's a bit naΓ―ve. I hope I'm not wrong!
I appreciate the input. I think when used as a tool itβs great. Also what might work for others might not work for me is how I look at it. Glad to see you continuing to pursue your writing goals, starting with this newsletter here.
Appreciate it Josh. I'm trying to get back into it. Only a few know what's real and what's not! But, my privacy is of utmost concern in a world that's growing with surveillance.
I can understand and respect that. Would be down to keep the convo going in privacy if youβre up for it. Youβre welcome to email me at josh@xtechnologies.io if you like.
Recently Iβve been learning more about writing project dev packages to more efficiently spin up my future dev projects. In addition to that Iβve been working on being more mindful about shipping what I make even if it isnβt perfect.
My fear for not starting this when I first registered the name kept me from months of writing and publishing. I really regret that now as there was no legitimate reason to not start. π¬
No worries! By the way, your link to X is broken on your Substack profile. π¬
Ooh I missed that one. Thanks for the heads up. I donβt have an X account anymore.
Ah! Curious as to your reasons?
