Your AI Dentist is Here, "Learning is Not Infringing", and Flux Drops Hard
Some apps, news, and tools you can use for your AI needs.
Morning y’all!
The markets are getting hit hard and folks are panicking; I hope you’re doing fine in this bloodbath! I don’t have much exposure so I’m just watching it all unfold.
But that’s not why you’re reading this newsletter right? Let’s jump into it.
Tesla just filed a patent for an AI-powered vision system that could transform how autonomous robots perceive and navigate their environment using only camera inputs. It is not surprising that this is going to be a “thing” because this is what the manufacturing line (invention) did for workers back in the early 1900’s.
Speaking of robots doing work that usually humans do, let’s talk about the autonomous robot dentist who completed the world’s first dental procedure.
Felo Search is a multilingual search engine.
A copilot for managers to help with their 1:1’s and to be better… managers? I’ve been in people leadership before and a pen and a notebook works for me.
Mistral AI has rapidly risen as a homegrown European champion over the past year. The company was valued at more than $6 billion in June. Its CEO, Arthur Mensch, has been vocal in debates over the EU's AI law, saying that lawmakers should focus on regulating how others use those models rather than regulating general-purpose AI models like Mistral's.
This is fun. This tool roasts your GitHub profile via AI.
AI-powered search engine with generative UI and it’s open source.
Nicholas shares how he “uses” AI and how he gets the most value out of them through code, automating boring tasks and more.
Love this:
I built this open-source app to write outbound emails for hiring, fundraising or selling a product using a LinkedIn link and a company URL and Claude. Best part? Claude built it all in 30mins!
Has anyone tried Meta’s new AI studio? For some reason I can’t seem to even get to the “creation” stage, unless I’m missing something entirely (I don’t use Instagram). Maybe it doesn’t matter.
“Learning is not infringing” is an interesting line Suno.
People are losing their minds over Flux, a new tool via Stable Diffusion developers who left to build this one. Here are some examples too.
Students at Stanford have built alphaXiv, an open discussion forum for arXiv papers. Although some are claiming they just cloned an existing project.
Nick is someone that I’ve been following for some time so it’s neat to hear how AI has changed his work and life.
An open source Claude Artifacts app that can generate full React apps and components with Llama 3.1 405B. Free and open source. Yay.
Lex Fridman chats with Elon and his Neuralink crew. It’s unreal in length, so, if you do this then I hope you have a long drive ahead of you.
Turn any website something useful for LLMs.
These tools might be useful. Check them out if you need!
10 examples of ChatGPT’s advanced voice mode, like how it’s “taking a deep breath” that are blowing people’s minds. It is interesting to see these things being programmed into the tools so we get more comfortable with them.
Create realistic videos of AI characters really quick. I’ve mentioned Rendernet before but it’s neat to see more examples.
Have a great Monday and week folks!
