Grok-2 and Imagen 3 Top the Boards and a Free Flux Image Generator
A few tools and news for you to consider in the world of artificial intelligence.
Morning y’all!
I’ve got a handful of large projects that need my attention today so let’s jump to it!
Grok-2, xAI’s newest model, is available for beta users and apparently is kicking serious booty in terms of performance.
Apple is going to develop a high-end tabletop smart home device with a — you guessed it — a robotic arm with Siri and more.
DeepMind published a paper on a new AI image generation model, Imagen 3, and apparently it beats DALLE, Midjourney, and even Stable Diffusion.
Apparently this is a free Flux generator which is nice because the direct one isn’t free and will cost you credits to upgrade for the real magic.
Surprising no one, a study shows that even the best AI models hallucinate. This is why the development and use of (embedded) knowledge graphs in LLMs are rising in importance since this can reduce bias significantly.
MIT released a AI risk repository which is a comprehensive database of over 700 risks from 43 frameworks.
An employee of The Powell Tribune has resigned after using AI to generate fake quotes in multiple articles that got to print. Whoops.
A fun video on how generative AI is not the panacea we’ve been promised. To be honest, I never saw AI as a panacea for anything, only an accelerant to existing workflows and perhaps even a soft replacement.
And that’s it friends! Have a great day!
