A few industry news and tools from the artificial intelligence world.
Morning y’all!
It’s another busy morning so this one will be straight and to the point! I hope the week is going well and you’re still as excited as I am about every single day and the new developments in the AI world as I am!
Big tech is struggling to prove to Wall Street that their AI bets are paying off (and providing increased gains and dividends). No surprise here.
Tether, the defi company and coin, is getting into AI.
AI for hospital raises $16m. I can definitely get behind these types of implementations.
AI data centers are getting more of a focus now that the power required for these companies are growing. If I had more money, I’d be dropping it into companies like this. We need more power!
Imagine your own social network where you can tell it to respond to your posts nicely or to troll you. That’s what this is. I’m not sure how much of a market there is for things like this but you never know.
AI recruitment company raises $30m. Wow. Will this eliminate bias or will it showcase how biased the recruitment process really is?
Front-end development assistant. Yes, via AI. Again.
Full apps with just a prompt. This isn’t a new idea but the results might be better than others. I haven’t given it a serious try yet though.
24/7 receptionist. I don’t need this but a lot of organizations do. Fascinating.
An overview of how generative AI works, and some of the intricacies of how difficult it is to build and manage these systems.
Runway is partnering with Lionsgate to use generative AI systems in their movie production. Technology will eat all of movies, eventually.
Google has done some research on how to use AI to understand whales and their sonar and auditory systems.
Jensen Huang thinks that AI is now building more AI, and this will be infinitely recursive.
Guillermo del Toro talks about the impact of AI and creativity. Worth a listen.
Deepfakes are getting so good. This is really impressive. By this time next year, it will be imperceptible to humans whether it's real or fake, and that's a little bit scary.
And, of course, something fun:
Have a great day folks!
